Anyone had their Disco Sport gearbox rebuilt at that Sharjah place or am I better off just trading it in?

My wife's 2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport has been making this faint whine from the transmission for the past couple of months and last week it finally did the thing where it refused to shift out of third gear on the way to school drop off which sent her into a full panic and now I'm the villain for not addressing it sooner even though she's been ignoring my "let's take it in" suggestions since Ramadan, anyway the local garage I trust said the ZF 9HP in these things is notorious for the dog clutch failing and the fluid turning to sludge and they don't really rebuild them in house so my options are basically a new gearbox from the dealer which costs more than the car is currently worth or finding a specialist who actually opens these units up and replaces the worn parts instead of just swapping the whole thing. I guess I'm just looking for a reality check from anyone who's actually used this place for a Land Rover specifically, like did they diagnose it correctly the first time and was the turnaround reasonable or did it turn into one of those situations where the car sits there for a month while they wait for a seal kit from Germany and you're stuck with a loaner Sunny that smells like stale cigarettes and regret. The whine is getting louder by the day and I need to make a decision before the thing fully grenades itself on the E311 and my wife's "I told you so" expression becomes permanently etched into my memory.
