Thinking of gifting Oriental Lilies for a friend's new apartment thoughts?

One of my friends has recently moved and I would like to present her with something other than a typical succulent. I saw some beautiful Oriental Lilies on abodelook and I'm tempted. The only question I have is whether they are so fussy that a person who is not a gardener can spend time with them. Did abodelook ever give out gifts of plants before? Are they delivered in a good condition? I would not want it to look as uncomfy and fancy as their site claims to be!
