How to Avoid Plagiarism in Computer Programming Assignments

I’ve been working on a few computer programming assignments lately, and I keep hearing horror stories about students accidentally (or intentionally) submitting plagiarized code. I’d love to know: How can we effectively avoid plagiarism when tackling our computer programming assignments?

Some students use a computer programming assignment writer or hire computer programming assignment services, but I’m worried that might get flagged for plagiarism too. I want to make sure I get help when I need it but also submit work that’s original.

Do any of you have tips for making sure the code you submit is your own—even if you’re using online computer programming assignment help or computer programming homework help? Do tools like plagiarism checkers actually work for code?
