My Wrangler's transmission is acting weird and I'm honestly worried

So I've got a 2015 Wrangler that I absolutely love and have taken all over the desert here, but over the past couple of weeks I've noticed the transmission feeling really clunky when it shifts between gears, especially when I'm driving in stop and go traffic around the city. Sometimes it hesitates before engaging and I can feel this slight shudder that just doesn't feel right at all. I changed the transmission fluid not too long ago so I don't think that's the issue, but I'm starting to wonder if it could be something more serious like the torque converter or maybe even the valve body starting to fail. I've been putting off taking it in because I keep hoping it'll just sort itself out, but I know that's wishful thinking and I'm probably making things worse by ignoring it. The problem is I've had such mixed experiences with garages here, some of them just seem to throw parts at the problem without actually diagnosing it properly, and I really don't want to waste money on guesswork.
