How Has Logistics Changed Outdoor Adventures Over the Last Decade?

I was recently thinking about how much logistics has evolved, even for hobbies like fishing and other outdoor activities.
Years ago, planning a fishing trip usually meant relying on local shops, paper maps, and whatever gear happened to be available nearby. Today, we can order specialized equipment online, track deliveries in real time, compare suppliers across different countries, and even receive products within a day or two.
It made me appreciate how much work happens behind the scenes. Warehousing, transportation, inventory planning, distribution networks, and technology all play a role in making sure products reach anglers when they need them.
Out of curiosity, has anyone here noticed how much easier it has become to find fishing gear over the years? Have faster shipping, better stock availability, or improved delivery services changed the way you prepare for a trip?
While reading about modern supply chains, I also came across how logistics and supply chain consulting services help businesses improve inventory management, warehouse operations, transportation planning, and distribution efficiency. It's interesting because the same principles that help large manufacturers and retailers also influence everyday experiences like buying fishing equipment.
I'd love to hear your thoughts:

I'd love to hear your thoughts:
- Has online shopping changed where you buy your fishing gear?
- Do you still prefer local tackle shops?
- What's the longest you've waited for an important piece of equipment before a trip?
- Have you ever had a fishing trip affected by shipping delays or stock shortages?
