I've been thinking about older games lately, especially the PS2 generation. There were so many different types of games on that console that it feels like there is always something worth going back to.

I'm curious how other people here approach older games today. Do you still have an original PS2 and play from discs, or do you use an emulator on a PC?

For anyone who has experience with PS2 emulation, what setup would you recommend today? And if you could only choose three PS2 games to play again, which ones would you pick?

I'm particularly interested in hearing suggestions from people who have gone back to their old games after many years.

I still pull out the old console from time to time because nothing quite beats playing from the original discs, but getting everything configured on a PC emulator is definitely a fun project too. It takes a bit of tinkering with the settings and BIOS files to get it running smoothly, but it's totally worth it to revisit those classics.
If I had to pick three games, I'd go with Shadow of the Colossus, Silent Hill 2, and Final Fantasy X.
