Do you still play older games from the PS2 era?

I've been thinking about older games lately, especially the PS2 generation. There were so many different types of games on that console that it feels like there is always something worth going back to.
I'm curious how other people here approach older games today. Do you still have an original PS2 and play from discs, or do you use an emulator on a PC?
I recently started looking more into PS2 emulation and realized there are quite a few things to understand before getting everything working properly, especially emulator settings, BIOS, and game compatibility. I found some useful information while researching the subject, and you can read here.
For anyone who has experience with PS2 emulation, what setup would you recommend today? And if you could only choose three PS2 games to play again, which ones would you pick?
I'm particularly interested in hearing suggestions from people who have gone back to their old games after many years.
